BYU v SDSU {Utah sports photography}

February 17th, 2010

First off, sorry for the lack of posts this weekend, I have not had internet for the past five days. It was terrible, I wanted to get some images up and just couldn’t! The trip went well, there are definitely things the team has to work on, it is early in the season, what team doesn’t need to sit down and make adjustments? The first game was against SDSU, final score was 13-5 BYU.

I thought this was a good image to start with…. haha…. before the last leg of the drive to San Diego….

Ben and Erika

February 9th, 2010

Shooting weddings might potentially be the best job in the world. Being the person that gets to spend those final “single” hours with someone and those first moments as a new couple is such a great experience. It is one of the most amazing times in someone’s life and I am lucky enough to get to capture that for them. Fantastic. I met Erika and Ben back in November, they are hilarious together. Both have these super outgoing personalities that just make everyone around them smile. I have been counting down with Erika the past few months, every few weeks I would send her a little update on how much closer she was getting to her wedding.

They did their reception the night before which was actually awesome because it broke up a super long day into a few hours Friday night, and a few hours Saturday morning. We went and did their couple’s shots before the reception Friday night, which means, yes Ben saw Erika in her dress before the wedding… This was AWESOME. I would seriously recommend this to anyone because it makes everything so laid back and allows the bride and groom to really enjoy some moments together away from the craziness.

I thought this was a nice shot to start out with….

BYU v UVU Scrimmage {Utah Sports Photography}

February 8th, 2010

Well it is finally here…. the BYU men’s lacrosse season is starting this week. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am. Actually just the fact that lacrosse starts again this week, both college and high school, makes me ecstatic. Shooting is the next best thing to playing. Most people would probably say that about coaching, but there is something really nice about being able to sit back and enjoy these tiny details through a lens.

There was a little scrimmage Saturday night between BYU and UVU. The turf was super slick and it was pretty chilly. Hopefully the weather is nice in California this week, I think it will be a nice change.

Loving the new helmets this year. They look awesome
