Off to Yellowstone

September 21st, 2010

We are headed off to one of my favorite places this weekend! I first fell in love with Yellowstone when we started going as a family every fall growing up. Part of it may have been that I liked hanging out of the sunroof pretending to be a National Geographic photographer…But I always loved that you never could go there without seeing something exciting and new. Our last trip to Yellowstone we had a lucky encounter with a young grizzly bear, at one point we were within about 4 feet of him. I sure hope we cross paths again.

Football: Jordan vs Alta 2010

September 16th, 2010

I love rivalries. They are even better when the game is really good. Jordan came out very strong in the first quarter, honestly I was thinking the game could potentially be over by halftime. But instead the game was tied 7-7 going into the third quarter and Alta answered early making it 14-7. Here is where the game got interesting, Jordan scores a touchdown… and then the placeholder fumbled the snap on the point after attempt. Game over. Both teams remained scoreless through the rest of the game and Alta barley made it through with the 14-13 win. It was exciting, and isn’t it frustrating how those tiny little mistakes can cost you the game?

Jared + Megan {Utah Wedding & Engagement Photography}

September 7th, 2010

Jared and Megan have been such a fun couple to work with. They first met while in the MTC right before they headed out to serve missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Upon returning home they began to hang out and became great friends, which in turn lead to them getting married. They are seriously perfect for one another, both of them have a very funny and unique personality which had me pretty much giggling every time we were all together. Their wedding took place at the Salt Lake City Temple and despite a few days of rain days before, their wedding was sunny, beautiful, and HOT. Even after walking around in 90 degree weather for over an hour in her dress Megan still looked gorgeous (I don’t think she broke a sweat, me on the other hand…) Make sure to wander over to their engagement session as well!
