Shooting weddings might potentially be the best job in the world. Being the person that gets to spend those final “single” hours with someone and those first moments as a new couple is such a great experience. It is one of the most amazing times in someone’s life and I am lucky enough to get to capture that for them. Fantastic. I met Erika and Ben back in November, they are hilarious together. Both have these super outgoing personalities that just make everyone around them smile. I have been counting down with Erika the past few months, every few weeks I would send her a little update on how much closer she was getting to her wedding.
They did their reception the night before which was actually awesome because it broke up a super long day into a few hours Friday night, and a few hours Saturday morning. We went and did their couple’s shots before the reception Friday night, which means, yes Ben saw Erika in her dress before the wedding… This was AWESOME. I would seriously recommend this to anyone because it makes everything so laid back and allows the bride and groom to really enjoy some moments together away from the craziness.
I thought this was a nice shot to start out with….

…The shoes, gorgeous dress, and the new apartment…

…I saw this cute little sign in their apartment while Erika was getting ready. I love that their invite is behind it, BUT as I was writing this post it for some reason made me think of the song “Always and Forever” by Luther Vandross. I decided the lyrics were fitting so here they are :
Always and forever
Each moment with you
Is just like a dream to me
That somehow came trueAnd I know tomorrow
Will still be the same
Cuz we got a life of love
That won’t ever change

…getting beautiful…
…their rings are super unique, I have never seen any like them. Ben surprised Erika and on the inside of her wedding band are both of their birth stones. Cute…

…I love this shot, they are so into each other…

…the amazing wedding cake, beautiful…

…love, love, love her expression here…

…Ben was pretty quick and efficient at getting that garter off, there were teeth involved eventually, I really liked the simplicity of this shot though…

…Saturday morning coming out of Timponogos temple…

…Oh Ben, this is such a sweet expression you have here, my favorite…

…the end, or just the beginning actually! I had a wonderful weekend with you, and hope your honeymoon was an absolute blast. Thanks for letting me share your special day!
