There is a lot more color in the winter landscape then many people think. Growing up with a father who is an oil painter he used to point out different colors that I would not even see. It has become a favorite season for sessions since there are so many yellows, oranges, and reds that you don’t really get during the spring and summer. Provo has some beautiful natural locations, so I was excited when these guys told me that is what they wanted.

Have I mentioned how quickly I am falling in love with Provo, UT? I am not sure how there are so many fun locations to shoot at but I keep finding interesting spots and getting clients who are up for anything! These two, so cute :) We had lots of fun and managed to dodge the gross storm that was rolling in.
One of the best parts about my job is the many different people I have the chance to meet. In addition to portraits I am also a sports photographer and have been the official team photographer for the BYU mens lacrosse team over the past 5 seasons. It is fun for a few reasons (besides the fact that I LOVE shooting sports), 1. I get to hang out with Jordan all season long (which is nice since most his time during the spring is dedicated to it.) We share a similar passion (or obsession, either way..) with lacrosse and it just so happened he starting coaching right around the time I started shooting. 2. I get to know all the guys on the team pretty well (and their significant others for those that are married) which is fun because we have found some great friends.
