Josh + AshleyNovember 16th, 2011One of the best parts about my job is the many different people I have the chance to meet. In addition to portraits I am also a sports photographer and have been the official team photographer for the BYU mens lacrosse team over the past 5 seasons. It is fun for a few reasons (besides the fact that I LOVE shooting sports), 1. I get to hang out with Jordan all season long (which is nice since most his time during the spring is dedicated to it.) We share a similar passion (or obsession, either way..) with lacrosse and it just so happened he starting coaching right around the time I started shooting. 2. I get to know all the guys on the team pretty well (and their significant others for those that are married) which is fun because we have found some great friends. |

Colton + Richelle Wedding DayAugust 14th, 2011Here is a peek into Colton and Richelle’s wedding which was held at the St George Temple in Utah. I have become a huge fan of separating the couple’s shoot together from all of the wedding festivities so it doesn’t get cut short by other things that are planned. Sometimes there is just too much added into the day, so doing their pictures together either before or after the ceremony or even a day after their wedding makes it so much more relaxed for them which results in natural expressions and lots of different options for them to choose from. We spent a few hours before their actual sealing doing their pictures together and were able to find a lot of great locations through St. George aside from just the temple. For those that have not had the pleasure of hanging out in St. George Utah in the middle of summer (I imagine it is similar to Arizona or Texas) it is HOT. |
