I have been so excited for this session. About a year and a half ago, I ventured off into what one would call the “real world” and started my first job at a photography studio. Crazy hours, a terribly long commute in insane construction, and the realization that I wanted to be doing photography on my own and not on someone else’s watch and I walked away and started making an effort to push my own business forward. The best thing I gained during this time? Aside from learning a ton, building up my immune system from dangerous kiddo germs (I swear they are worse then adults), and receiving a lot of experience, I came away with some really great friends. Sara and I have had a connection since we first went through photography training together ( I knew it would work out from the moment we practiced our lighting together on the wood floor in that basement…we were really awesome models.) Actually I probably should stick to the side of the camera that clicks the shutter. She has been my sounding board through the highs and lows, and my lunch and sweet tooth fairy buddy. Basically we spent a lot of time together over the time we worked in the studio. A few months before I left, along came poppy. I am pretty sure I would ask her about him daily. Come on 9 months, hurry up, I could not wait to meet her little man! He decided to come a little early, life for both of us has been insane recently ( apparently babies are quite a bit of work…) But finally, I got to meet him (and no poppy is not his real name. You just had to have been there to understand.) And well, my goodness he is SOOOO cute.
How bad do you want to squeeze him right now? I know, I feel the same way.

Someday I will learn how to knit cool things like this blanket. I think her sister made it and I LOVE it.

I see a dimple :) Watch out ladies.

Tummy time, not his favorite when I have a camera in his face. He did well though and got this cute shot!

Such a darling family :) Hehe, but seriously you guys are beautiful!

Loving this location! I feel like I have had good fall color longer then usual this year.

These last two I think are my favorites from the session. Sara you’re gorgeous :) And the matching hats are too cute.
