BYU lacrosse recently set out to help with a few service projects through Habitat for Humanity. It was fun to go along and document a little bit of their shifts. Day one the guys headed over to a home in Provo to put the siding on the house and help out with some of the windows. Let’s just say they stayed much cleaner on day one, then day two. On the second day there was paint, and lots of mud involved, and honestly I think some of them left with more paint on them then actually ended up on the walls.
It was a pretty neat experience to say the least to see so many people volunteering their time for others. Actually the entire idea behind Habitat for Humanity is amazing. We were told it more than 95% of the work is completed by volunteers. It is nice to see so many people giving a helping hand for those that are in need.
