AllAmericanShots: Best of 2011

December 29th, 2011

I have tried to keep my sports and portrait blogs separate this past year but I am finding it is really hard to keep up with both of them. Some of you might not even have know I shoot sports! Actually primarily lacrosse, and a lot of BYU since I have been their team photographer for the past few seasons. SO for 2012 I am moving all my blog posts here and will be launching a brand new website for AllAmericanShots. I wanted to do a best of for 2011 for my sports and portrait sessions, however due to the number of images I go through in a season it is really hard to pick “the best” so I thought it might be better to grab a couple favorites from every college game I shot throughout spring and fall 2011. Last year was a pretty big year for me as I feel I have really grown and learned quite a bit with my sports photography. I was able to get published a few times in Inside Lacrosse (which is a national magazine I used to read while I was playing in college,) as well as shoot the MCLA finals which I had never done before (this was even more awesome since BYU won the National Championship.) Im getting really excited for the new season to kick off here in another month!

Sofia + Trevis

December 29th, 2011

Things have been just a little busy recently, hence lack of blogging and lots of wordless Wednesdays… Winter seems to be a very popular time for wedding season for me. Denver is typically a pretty safe bet when getting married in the winter, most of the time you might have a little bit of snow on the ground and it will be 50 degrees outside. The thing I think can make Denver colder then snow or rain is the WIND. Yes, Denver can get pretty windy at times and I hate wind more then anything! It was very nice before these guys came out of the temple and then bam, wind right when they come out. We tried to move quick so I didn’t have a frozen bride for the reception! Congrats you guys! It was such a beautiful day.
